We found this great resource while promoting the Anchorage Fly Fishing Film Tour Show ( which debuts the 7th and 8th of February) and I have to admit to spending a little too much time reading through the pages. check it out.

Took my God-Son to last year's show in Anchorage 2007, we loved it. The interaction by the Trout Bums and the crowd were incredible. The films were great, they involved local sponsors like World Wide Angler and many others, a fantastic time was had by all. This year I talked my wife, into going, told her how great it was last year, boy was I wrong. The show only had a slight blurb in the ADN, there was no interaction because not one of the Trout Bums made it this year, the films just kind of appeared out of no where, there was no real interaction with the crowd, the show really sucked. A waste of time and money. I think it is fair to say that everyone in the room is against Pebble Mine, but after being hit over the head by three different propaganda films even a hard core environmentalist like myself had to say enough already. Everyone I've talked with about the show mirrors my comments, too bad. We love and live to fish in Alaska and to treat fisher folk in this manner is just wrong. If this is the best the Trout Bums can offer in the future, save the postage on mailing next years film, as far as I'm concerned it was a lost effort.
